I strive to provide a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive therapeutic environment by highlighting the client’s background and belief system, as it connects to other important elements that make up a client’s identity. This will allow me to understand a client’s unique perspective of their world, while building on creating a strong therapeutic alliance. I utilize techniques that are rooted in a holistic framework using evidence-based modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, breathwork, mindfulness and meditative practices. This nurtures a compassionate and empowering environment for my clients to thrive in and out of the therapy room. Ultimately, I hope that together we embark on a transformative and healing journey.I am passionate about serving a wide range of clients, especially those navigating anxiety, challenging emotions or thoughts, life transitions and unresolved trauma. My goal is to empower clients towards resiliency and wholeness by encouraging self-love, compassion and wellness.I earned a double Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, as well as one in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I then continued my education, earning a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy from California Lutheran University. Prior to joining Canyon Creek counseling, I worked at a community clinic supporting children, youth, adults and older adults, by providing treatment in English and Spanish.
