I believe one of the bravest and greatest acts of self-care is to ask for help and support when needed. Through the use of an individualized and holistic approach, I encourage clients to recognize their wholeness; emphasizing mind, body and soul connection to support a person's overall well being. I believe physical and emotional wellbeing are profoundly interconnected. I am passionate about supporting folks who may be struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, trauma, and issues related to gender diversity and acceptance through the use of CBT, ACT, mindfulness training, and trauma informed care. I was trained as a research assistant in the UCLA Marriage and Relationships Lab where I received my B.A. in sociology with an emphasis in psychology and then continued my education at California Lutheran University where I earned my Master's degree in marriage and family therapy. It was during my time in graduate school where I was trained to specialize in trauma and found my passion for working with the body and nervous system as it relates to ways in which trauma manifests within us. I now utilize Brainspotting in my practice for this reason.I have worked in a community counseling center and private practice settings to support individuals, couples, and families of various backgrounds. It would be an honor to support you on your journey.
